“I just wanted to express my appreciation to y’all for the amazing experience I had at your hunting lodge. It was first class all the way, the food was excellent, the facilities were excellent, the family atmosphere was so welcoming and amazing. You could not have picked a better staff to surround us with! I haven’t had so much fun and laughed so hard in awhile.”

Our Commitment & Why We Do It

Wild Goose Guiding is committed to offering Canadian hunters and American hunters the best overall waterfowl hunting experience we can provide in Hardisty, Alberta, Canada (120 miles southeast of Edmonton).

Our team makes use of over 100 years of combined waterfowl outfitting experience to maximize the odds of a great duck and goose hunt for you.
Many of our hunters have been coming back almost every year for the last 10 or more years; past hunters who are now fathers and grandfathers have brought their children and even grandchildren to share in the Wild Goose waterfowl hunting experience.

The hospitality and camaraderie that we get to share with our groups keeps us going just as much as the great hunting.

Balance - Hunt & After Hunt

Hunt
Mike - the owner and head guide - uses over 45 years in the art of waterfowl hunting to put you in the best spots for shooting ducks and geese.
Having grown up in Hardisty Alberta, Mike and his family’s relationships with the farmers in the area improves the opportunity for accessing these spots. Without the support and generosity of these farmers, we would not be able to provide you with these incredible hunting experiences.

The unique hunting system and blind setup we use allows hunters of all ages and abilities to easily, comfortably, and safely enjoy world-class shooting opportunities. Hunters can drive right to the blind in the field.

After Hunt
We believe the time and financial investment of our hunters should be rewarded by more than great hunting. Our hostess, Kathy, with her infectious energy and positivity will go above and beyond to prepare delicious home-cooked meals (always with dessert!) and keep your living space clean and tidy. Our whole team enjoys getting to know our fellow hunters too.

During downtime outside of hunts, our hunters enjoy activities such as bonfires, trapshooting, ladder golf, horseshoes, pool, poker, foosball, watching sports games, and maybe even seeing the behind the scenes work of our crew!
